Now that winter is over and spring has finally sprung, I can bring back my bold colors into my wardrobe. Winter was very dark and toned down for me this year, with dark and neutral colors all around. I was so excited to bring some color back into my life because it makes me more cheerful and energetic while wearing it. I have been waiting for the perfect time and place to wear my new favorite sweater from the Prabal Gurung collection at Target. Once the collection's lookbook was released I instantly gravitated towards this sweater.  Form the color to the print, everything about it was perfect except for one thing we didn't receive it in Arizona! Luckily my best friend in Chicago was able to snatch the last size small at her Target which I am extremely thankful for. One downfall about this sweater that I have to warn you about is that it is really short. Yes I know it is a woman's sweater but the fit is very unproportional. Nonetheless I was determined to make it work by tucking in a black undershirt so that it looks as if it was longer. Since the print is bold and loud I kept my outfit simple by pairing it with my black jeans and dark brown boots. The weather was perfect to take a nice stroll around the monuments and to be a total tourist. Even though I have seen the monuments a million times, it was nice to just relax, enjoy the weather, as well as history with the monuments surrounding us. We even encountered new monuments such as the Martin Luther King Jr. memorial which was symbolic and inspirational.
PS What colors or patterns are you going to experiment with this spring?
