Wait, winter break is almost over and this is the first post I have done? Let me just say that the lack of posts wasn't because I have been lazy but for the fact that I haven't had anytime during finals and work. I really wanted to catch up on my blogging during winter break, but instead I did some much needed relaxation as well as spending time with the family. The weather has finally started to get a little more cooler for me to do some light layering, which I have been waiting to do for a while now. A couple of days ago I spent my morning volunteering with my family at the Desert Botanical Garden. Once we finished, we were able to enjoy and roam around the garden. I did a quick change in the car to get out of my volunteer clothes and into  some more appealing clothing. I wanted the garden to be my pops of color so I decided to wear neutral colors so that the scenery would pop. The only color that I decided to wear was a gold pin (from FRIDAY) to add a small detail element. I have been in love with this pin for its versatility on scarves, blazers, shirts etc. I met the designer of FRIDAY during my trip to NYC and fell in love with her merchandise so make sure you check it out and support young designers.
PS Try to incorporate an element of surprise such as a pin into your wardrobe to add more detail.
